Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Hobbidly (“Hobbidly,” “we,” “us”) collects when you join our early-access waitlist at hobbidly.com, why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have. We're currently a pre-launch waitlist, so this page covers only that.

1. What we collect

When you submit the waitlist form, we collect the details you enter:

Required:your name, phone number, email address, whether you're a collector / seller / both, and how long you've been in the hobby.
Optional: your city and state.

If you accept analytics cookies, we also collect standard usage data through Google Analytics — for example, pages viewed, approximate (city-level) location, device and browser type, and a randomised identifier. Analytics is off until you accept the cookie banner; if you decline, no analytics cookies are set.

2. Why we collect it

To add you to the waitlist and reserve your early-access spot.
To notify you when access opens — by email (your invite) and, where relevant, by phone/WhatsApp.
To understand our early audience so we can build the right product.

3. Our basis for using it

We rely on your consent, which you give by submitting the form (and, for analytics, by accepting the cookie banner). You can withdraw consent at any time (see Your rights).

4. Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the waitlist, who process it on our behalf:

Brevo — stores your waitlist contact details and sends the launch email.
Google Analytics — usage analytics (only if you accept).
Vercel (hosting) and Cloudflare (DNS/network).

Some of these providers operate servers outside India, so your information may be processed in other countries under their own safeguards.

5. Cookies

The site uses analytics cookies (Google Analytics) only after you accept them via the cookie banner. You can decline, or later clear cookies in your browser, and the site continues to work normally.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist details until we launch and have invited you, plus a reasonable period afterwards — or until you ask us to delete them, whichever is sooner.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information, or to withdraw your consent, at any time. Just email hobbidlyapp@gmail.comand we'll action it.

8. Children

Hobbidly isn't directed at children under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their information without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child has shared data with us, contact us and we'll remove it.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information — including HTTPS, secret server-side handling of our provider keys, and spam/abuse protections on the form. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves; we'll change the “Last updated” date above when we do.
